For the new year, we've changed BOTAK's visual identity !
The formulas remain the same, only the look has changed!
We'd like to share our decision to change the look of our products, even though we loved our old packaging!
We're the only ones to address bald, shaven or shaved heads in a friendly, open way.
We founded the BOTAK project around “Body Positive".
Some people proudly assume the “zero ball” style, but others are not so comfortable with a bald head.
Our mission is also to help those who suffer from hair loss or baldness to cope better, thanks to a healthier, more beautiful head.
The all-black packaging was beautiful, but didn't really reflect that positive side - we wanted to see a bit more color!
The color codes remain the same as those already used to identify each product:
Yellow for the balancing cleanser, the green for Moisturizing cream, purple for the Exfoliating Mask, blue for the Shaving Gel, orange for Sun Care Cream, etc.
We are the only ones to offer a complete range of products truly formulated and adapted for shaved or bald scalps, and au naturel..
With the old packaging, we lacked both this unique look and a way of seeing more easily, at a glance, the function of BOTAK products, i.e. hairless skincare!
So we've depicted a shaven skull from above, which stands out in the center of our tubes and bottles .
We bald guys are the only ones who use products like moisturizer or sunscreen on our heads. The rest of us use these products on our faces and the rest of our bodies.
We therefore make gestures when applying the products that are not the same as those made by non-chauvinists who apply them to the face or elsewhere.
That makes us unique !
And these gestures are common to all shaved/shaved heads. “You do it like this, we do it like that!” They bring us together!
So we wanted to depict these harmless, everyday gestures in a stylized way. These are the colored movements represented at the level of the line of the shaved head seen from above.
Last but not least, all our packaging was in one language, French, because all our products are designed, formulated and manufactured 100% in France., including tubes and vials.
But not being translated at least into English has cut us off from a large share of foreign consumers on French soil, as well as in other European countries.
We didn't expect demand from outside France so quickly, so we had to adapt.
